The Blacktown Show Presidents Message

Hello, welcome to this year’s 99th annual Shows.

Come and enjoy two days of action packed fun with entertainment the whole family will enjoy.

All the traditional things you would expect to see at an Agricultural and Horticultural Show will again be on display. These include the Woodchopping, Sheep Shearing, Caged Birds, Poultry, Horticulture, Arts & Craft, Cooking and Needlework competition and displays.

As usual we have all the entertainment and exhibits the children look forward to, such as the Animal Farm Nursery, Live Reptile Display, Puppeteer and Magic Show.

The stage will be Buzzing with activity with performances from local Gymnastic, Dance and Singing groups, the official opening and the Crowning of the Blacktown Show Young Women of the Year.

This year’s major attraction on centre stage will be the Bruno Mars
Experience, a tribute to the most popular artist of our generation and in centre ring the FMX Kaos International Freestyle Team will be performing the most death defying entertaining stunt show, culminating in the Blacktown City Council’s Fireworks Spectacular.

For those who like to sit back and watch the entertainment, the Adonis Strongman Competition, Metropolitan Axemen, Working Dog and Search Dogs demonstrations, will be performing in Centre ring all day Saturday.

Sunday will feature the introduction of a Car Show to replace the Ute Muster and the very popular Search for a Star Talent Quest which has launched many new careers in the past.

The Society is very grateful for the continuing support from our sponsors which obviously contributes to the success of the show.

Finally, I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all our members and volunteers who have work tirelessly over the past 12 months putting the show together.
