Blacktown Showground, NSW
Est. 1918 · Over 100 Years of Community & Tradition
The Blacktown Show Society has been bringing the community together for over a century. What began as a small agricultural exhibition at the Blacktown saleyards in April 1918 has grown into one of Sydney's most beloved annual events.
Today, the Blacktown City Show draws thousands of visitors each year for two action-packed days of livestock, entertainment, sideshow alley, local produce, competitions, and community spirit.
Our volunteer-run organisation is passionate about celebrating local achievement, showcasing our region's best, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Two days packed with something for everyone — from the little ones to the young at heart.
Cattle, sheep, poultry and more — see the finest animals from local farms and rural producers up close. A true show tradition.
Classic rides, games, showbags and all the carnival fun. Sideshow Alley is the heart of the show for kids and families.
Live music, performances and entertainment across two big days. Local artists and special guests on the main stage.
Baking, art, horticulture, photography and more. Enter your finest work and compete for show ribbons and prizes.
From show bags to local produce stalls — enjoy great food, local flavours and fresh market produce across the grounds.
A classic Australian show tradition. Watch elite axemen compete in the wood chop — always a crowd favourite.
