There’s Misty Ridge Cuddly Animal Farm Nursery, a Live Reptile Display and lots of action on Centre Stage with Singers Dancers, Martial Arts Demonstrations and Sundays Search for a Star Talent Quest, where many young performers have been discovered over the years.
We have a Woodchopping Competition, Strongman Competition, Working Dogs demonstration and Search Dogs NSW – These Dogs provide assistance to Police and Emergency Services in the search for people missing in the bush, Alzheimer /dementia patients who have wondered away, missing children and people trapped following a Natural or manmade disaster.
This years major attraction on Centre ring is the Bruno Mars Experience, a tribute to the most popular artist of our generation. Centre ring will feature the FMX Kao’s International Freestyle Team, followed by the Blacktown City Councils Fireworks Spectacular.
For the Car enthusiast, we have the old and the new, cars from the past and cars of the present thanks to our three major car sponsors in Cumberland Ford, Lander Toyota and Westend Motors

This year’s Stage Entertainment will include the Australian Rhythmic Gymnastics who offer a full range of fun gymnastics, ballet, fitness and dance programs for all ages.
Blacktown Girls High School music teacher Sue Kennedy will have two drumming groups performing at the show, Tribal Drums – African Drumming Group and Taiko Ritmiko – the Japanese Drumming Group, Julia Parashko a vocalist, who’s students have won many of our Talent Quests over the years, Bollyfit by Nikita, Blacktown Community Band, Natasha’s Arts Theatre, where their student’s performances are a credit to themselves and their teacher and finally last year’s Search for a Star Talent Quest winner Natasha Tatarinoff who has been busy at other Gigs since last years show.

The official opening and crowning of the Blacktown Show Young Women of the year, previously known as the Blacktown Showgirl Quest with the Mayor Cr. Tony Bleasdale OAM at the 2022 show, welcoming everyone to the show.

Ras’s working & high jumping dogs will be at this year’s show with demonstrations of not only man’s best friend’s amazing ability to handle and musterstock but also you can bring your own pooch along for the high jumping contest.
Kylie & Darren Adams, both successful competitors in cattle dog trialing, will have their dogs on hand and explain some of their training techniques and how & why working dogs are used on farms around Australia every day.
The dogs used are known as New Zealand short haired collies (think Footrot flats) and bred solely for their knack to control all kinds of livestock, from sheep & goats to cattle & the ducks that will be used today.
The light hearted yet informative demonstration starts with basic breaking-in methods through to actually working a flock of ducks within meters of the crowd with two dogs working as one to manoeuvre the ducks under the control of their master. At the end of each show Darren & Kylie will bring the dogs out into the crowd so as the young & old alike can get up close and have a pat with these amazing hounds.
Once again you are more than welcome to come up and say Gday for a ‘Pat & Chat’ after the show.

The Blacktown City Show “Search for a Star” Talent Quest, which commands centre stage on Sunday has uncovered many talented contestants in the past who have been able to follow their dreams, such as Lorenzo Rossitano, a tenor who has performed at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre and appeared in the Sydney Harbour Australian Day Celebrations in 2021 prior to the fireworks on National TV. Another is Rachael Fahim, a Country singer who was named Star Maker of the year at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
This year has uncovered many more talented contestants who we believe will go on to bigger and better things.
